[Financial News] Nationwide training for childcare staff has begun to prevent safety accidents at childcare centers and improve the professionalism of their operations. The program stands out for moving beyond simply delivering theory: it shares common violations identified through data collected during actual guidance and inspections, and supports preventive management.
According to the Korea Institute for the Promotion of Early Childhood Care and Education on the 15th, the institute is holding 15 sessions of its “Data-Based Training on Childcare Center Operating Standards” for childcare staff at centers nationwide, from the 14th through November 17.
The training comprises practical courses that can be applied immediately at childcare centers. Topics include guidelines for installing and operating CCTV, general principles for childcare center operations, childcare center financial accounting, and essential labor laws, including the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. In particular, the institute has analyzed accumulated guidance and inspection results to highlight cases in which staff can easily make mistakes, and will also provide a checklist for self-inspection.
Support has also been strengthened for areas with relatively fewer training opportunities. The program has been expanded to 11 regions nationwide, including areas underserved by training such as Jeju, Gangwon and Ulsan. To improve accessibility, it offers 11 in-person sessions and four online sessions.
Jo Yong-nam, head of the Korea Institute for the Promotion of Early Childhood Care and Education, said, "We will do our utmost to strengthen practical capabilities in childcare settings and create an environment where parents can feel at ease, through data-based preventive management."
