[Financial News] Bentley Motors Limited has unveiled the “Torcal” in Seoul, its first all-electric vehicle and fourth model, in its Asian debut. With a large contingent of executives from its headquarters visiting Korea to mark the 20th anniversary of its entry into the market, the company plans to use the Torcal to broaden its customer base in Korea.
On the 15th, Bentley Motors Limited held an Asian premiere event in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and unveiled the Torcal. The Torcal is the fourth model to join Bentley’s portfolio, following the Continental GT, Bentley Flying Spur and Bentayga. Bentley describes it as the brand’s first urban luxury SUV. It was first unveiled globally in London, UK, on the 23rd of last month (local time).
The Torcal is offered in two versions: the standard Torcal and the high-performance Torcal S. With launch control activated, the Torcal S produces a maximum output of 888 PS and maximum torque of 1,350 Nm (137.7 kg·m). The torque figure is the highest in Bentley’s history. It accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h. The standard model produces 821 horsepower and 1,194 Nm (121.7 kg·m) of maximum torque, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with two permanent-magnet synchronous motors and an 800V-based 113 kWh battery (net capacity). Its range on a single charge is up to 600 km under the WLTP standard. With 400 kW ultra-fast charging, charging from 10% to 80% takes 16 minutes. A seven-minute charge provides a range of 161 km. The battery warranty is 10 years or 258,000 km. The specifications provided are based on UK standards; those of the model launched in Korea may vary depending on certification.

The Torcal is the first Bentley to feature full active suspension. All-wheel steering, which turns the rear wheels by up to 5 degrees, is also standard across all models. The turning radius is 11.1 m. At around 5 m long, it is the shortest model in Bentley’s four-door lineup, yet it offers a 460-liter trunk and 90-liter front storage compartment.
The vehicle also features “Bentley Dynamic Symphony,” a driving sound created from performances on real instruments, including drums, viola and bass guitar, in place of an internal-combustion engine’s sound. New interior materials include 100% Merino wool automotive fabric developed with British textile manufacturer Fox Brothers, and “Ombre Walnut” veneer made by compressing up to 1,000 layers.
Senior executives attended the event, including Bentley Motors Limited Chairman and CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser, Director of Sales and Marketing Christophe Georges, Head of Design Robin Page, and Asia-Pacific regional head Dave Hayter.
“For the past 107 years, Bentley has built the most complete cars, combining effortless yet powerful performance, exceptional comfort, refined British craftsmanship using the finest natural materials, and soulful sound,” CEO Walliser said. “The new Torcal sets extraordinary standards in every key area.”
Bentley was the first luxury car brand to officially enter the Korean market, in 2006. The company plans to make the Torcal a key model for introducing the brand to a broader customer base in Korea and expanding its presence there.
“Korea has played an important role in Bentley’s journey over the past 20 years, alongside customers who share our passion for innovation, craftsmanship and outstanding performance. That makes it especially meaningful to unveil the Torcal in Seoul for the first time in Asia,” said Hayter, the company’s Asia-Pacific regional head.
Domestic orders for the Torcal opened on the day of the announcement. Prices for both the Torcal and Torcal S start at 330 million won, including VAT, with first customer deliveries scheduled for late 2027.
