[Financial News] Three new menu items introduced this year by bhc Chicken, Dining Brands Group’s chicken brand—Soy Garlic King, Curryinkle and Quasak Mozza King—have continued to be hits since their launch.
Industry sources said on the 15th that Soy Garlic King, bhc Chicken’s first new menu item this year, launched on March 26 and surpassed 2 million in cumulative sales six months after launch. It is a dry-style soy sauce chicken that highlights the harmony of soy sauce and garlic. Curryinkle, introduced in July, surpassed 1.5 million in cumulative sales three months after launch. It passed 750,000 sales in its first month and currently ranks third in bhc’s overall sales. A sweet-and-spicy seasoned chicken combining a subtle curry aroma with the smooth flavor of cream, Curryinkle drew consumer interest from the outset with a collaboration featuring the Minions.
Quasak Mozza King, launched on the 24th of last month, saw a strong initial response, reaching cumulative sales of 200,000 three weeks after launch through just two channels: bhc Chicken’s own app and Coupang Eats. Online interest has also been high. Since its launch, search volume had approached 100,000 by the 4th, while mentions across online communities, Instagram and blogs totaled 2,000 over the same period.
bhc Chicken said it believes the rising early sales of each of its menu items launched this year—from Soy Garlic King to Curryinkle and Quasak Mozza King—are the result of its menu-development capabilities and consumer trust.
A bhc Chicken representative said, “The new menu items we introduced this year have received an enthusiastic response from consumers from the outset and are continuing to enjoy success together. We will continue to introduce new items through differentiated menu development to satisfy our customers’ diverse tastes.”
