[Financial News] JT Chinhai Savings Bank is running welfare programs to support employees’ work-family balance, ranging from baseball outings with family members to gifts celebrating their children starting school. It is also supporting health and rest as it works to foster a family-friendly corporate culture.
According to financial industry sources on the 15th, JT Chinhai Savings Bank, together with its affiliate JT Savings Bank, offers a professional baseball game attendance program for employees and their families.
The bank purchases season tickets for the LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium and provides table seats to employees who wish to attend games. Employees can enjoy the games with family members or colleagues. The bank also covers food and beverage costs and offers early leave depending on the game schedule.
The banks have also set up programs to support employees’ children as they start school and prepare for exams. This past February, the two savings banks gave school supplies to employees whose children were about to start elementary school. JT Chinhai Savings Bank has also sent children of employees preparing to take the College Scholastic Ability Test an encouragement card from the CEO and a gift set of rice cakes wishing them success.
JT Chinhai Savings Bank has also held events to help employees recharge. This past May, JT Chinhai Savings Bank held a food-truck event serving coffee, sandwiches and fruit. On Malbok, the last of the three hottest days of summer, it held an event to help employees beat the heat, handing out dakgangjeong, fruit punch and coffee. The company also has a break room employees can use during their breaks.
Ahead of the holidays, JT Savings Bank held an event in which all employees received assorted gift sets, including Korean beef and fruit, through a lucky draw.
Other benefits include annual healthcare points that can be used like cash, support for employee health checkups, encouragement of parental leave for men and job-related training.
A JT Chinhai Savings Bank representative said, "We are trying a range of family-friendly welfare programs to help employees balance family and work life," adding, "We will continue to develop more programs so that these initiatives take root in our corporate culture and go beyond being just policies."
