[Financial News] Samsung Welstory has begun supporting product development and market access for small and medium-sized businesses based in North Gyeongsang Province.
On the 15th, Samsung Welstory said it would introduce menus featuring products from North Gyeongsang SMEs in company cafeterias nationwide in collaboration with the North Gyeongsang Economic Promotion Agency.
Since 2024, Samsung Welstory has pursued mutually beneficial initiatives, supported by local governments in North Gyeongsang Province, to increase the value of products from local SMEs and expand their market access. It develops products that highlight each company’s strengths or features them as cafeteria meals and ready-to-eat foods.
This year, it will serve two new menu items featuring Korean beef bone soup, simmered to a rich broth using a traditional cauldron method by Daddy Food, a food company based in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, in company cafeterias nationwide.
Daddy Food makes processed meat products and ready-to-eat foods, including Korean beef bone soup, short rib soup and spicy stir-fried black pork, as well as soy-protein meat alternatives, all with a wholesome taste and no artificial flavorings or additives.
It also plans to continue working with five North Gyeongsang SMEs this year, including Sangju Aram Dried Persimmons, which makes dried persimmons in Sangju, to develop new products suited to each company’s strengths and support their market access. This includes developing a seasonal Sangju dried-persimmon gift set using the intellectual property (IP) of the popular TV program ‘Eonnine Sanjijiksong.’
A Samsung Welstory representative said, “We will continue pursuing various mutually beneficial initiatives that contribute to revitalizing local communities and enable us to offer customers competitive products.”
