【Financial News, Suncheon = Hwang Tae-jong, reporter】“A weekend well spent, even doing nothing.”
Suncheon City plans to run an experiential tourism program, ‘Suncheon Four Seasons Empathy; Again, Emptying,’ that lets visitors enjoy rest and recovery while staying at Seonamsa Temple and the Suncheon Traditional Wild Tea Experience Center, two of Suncheon’s signature ecological assets.
According to Suncheon City on the 15th, ‘Again, Emptying’ is a two-day, one-night program to be held twice, on the upcoming 24th–25th and November 7–8. Under the theme ‘A weekend well spent, even doing nothing,’ it offers time to rest the body and mind while experiencing temple life and tea culture.
A Suncheon City official said, “I hope this will be a time to fully rest and recharge both body and mind through tea, meditation and walks at Seonamsa Temple and the Suncheon Traditional Wild Tea Experience Center.”
The main activities in ‘Again, Emptying’ include experiencing temple life through a temple stay at Seonamsa Temple, singing bowl meditation, a starlight walk and a tea ceremony at the Suncheon Traditional Wild Tea Experience Center.
The tea conversation with Monk Deungmyeong, author of ‘Monk, I Have a Concern,’ is expected to be a special opportunity to share thoughts over warm tea and reflect on oneself.
Suncheon City’s Experiential Tourism Team in the Tourism Division is recruiting the first 25 applicants for each session. Anyone in need of a break can participate, and the fee is 50,000 won per person. To apply, scan the QR code on the poster and submit an application online.
