[Financial News] The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority said on the 15th that it had held an investment attraction briefing for Korean companies operating in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City on the 14th.
The briefing was organized to identify manufacturing companies operating in Vietnam that are considering establishing or expanding domestic production bases or restructuring their supply chains, and to introduce the investment environment of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone and support programs for companies returning to Korea.
Around 20 companies operating in Vietnam attended the briefing, including member companies of the Vietnam Association of Busan and Gyeongnam Investment Companies.
The authority introduced the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone’s industrial sites, logistics infrastructure, investment incentives and support programs for companies returning to Korea. It also outlined procedures for securing sites, obtaining investment subsidies, accessing tax and financial support, securing permits and approvals, and consulting with relevant agencies—matters of interest to companies considering returning to Korea during the actual investment process.
The authority also plans to continue providing follow-up consultations and support to companies that express interest in investing.
Park Seong-ho, head of the authority, said, “We will work to ensure that tailored support suited to each company’s investment plans leads to tangible results in attracting investment.”
