【Financial News, Inje = Reporter Kim Gi-seop】Starlight Yoga, a signature nighttime tourism program of the Gangwon Tourism Foundation, will be held at Inje Speedium for the first time, transforming the motorsports racetrack into a wellness venue where visitors can enjoy yoga and relaxation beneath the stars.
The Gangwon Tourism Foundation said on the 15th that it will hold Starlight Yoga for 150 participants at Inje Speedium at 6 p.m. on the 23rd. A signature nighttime tourism and wellness program of Gangwon State, Starlight Yoga has previously been held against a backdrop of natural scenery, but this will be the first time it takes place at a motorsports venue. The foundation has prepared a distinctive setting that combines yoga and relaxation, giving participants a chance to set aside their busy routines for a while and enjoy a special evening.
The event will be held in conjunction with a motorcycle event at Inje Speedium. Spectators who come to watch the races will also be able to enjoy wellness activities, making it an opportunity to experience a range of Gangwon’s tourism offerings beyond simply watching sports.
In addition to yoga, activities at the venue will include profile photography, starlight tarot readings, wind-chime making, teacup making and singing-bowl experiences. Participants will receive a welcome kit containing a stretching band, Inje gomchwi glutinous rice cakes and garaetteok, omija ade, a glowing rose, multivitamins and nonalcoholic beer, as well as Inje Love Gift Certificates. By giving participants local gift certificates, the foundation aims to encourage spending in the area and support the local economy. It also plans to continue developing tourism packages that combine local attractions with accommodation and showcase the region’s distinctive character, in order to promote longer stays.
Gangwon Tourism Foundation CEO Choi Seong-hyeon said, “Taking a moment to catch your breath beneath the stars at a racetrack buzzing with the excitement of motorcycles is a uniquely Gangwon nighttime experience that is hard to find anywhere else. I hope it will be a chance to fully experience Inje’s flavors and charms, with gomchwi rice cakes, omija ade and local gift certificates to take home along with the yoga.”
