[Financial News] Tomato System, an artificial intelligence (AI) software and digital healthcare company, was trading strongly early in the session after its investment warning designation was lifted.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 15th, Tomato System was trading at 3,335 won as of 9:35 a.m., up 15.40% from the previous trading day. The stock opened down 3.80% at 2,780 won before surging to as high as 3,470 won, up 20.06%, at around 9:14 a.m.
The Korea Exchange announced at around 8 p.m. the previous day that it would lift, effective that day, Tomato System’s designation as an investment warning stock, which had been in effect since the 29th of last month. Tomato System was instead designated an investment caution stock from that day and could be redesignated as an investment warning stock if its share price rises further.
Tomato System had earlier rallied on news that MCP Texas, an insurer under U.S. Medcare Partners (MCP), in which Tomato System made a strategic equity investment on the 21st of last month, had received final approval from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for its insurance business next year. From the 21st of last month through the 28th, just before it was designated an investment warning stock, Tomato System gained 116.87%—the largest increase of any stock.
