[Financial News] Singer and painter Solbi (born Kwon Jian, 42) and actor Lee Kyu-han (46) will marry next April.
On the 15th, Solbi’s agency Jian Castle announced, “The two families recently met and discussed the couple’s plans to marry, and they are planning to hold the wedding sometime in April next year.”
The wedding will be held privately, with family, relatives and close acquaintances in attendance.
Solbi and Lee Kyu-han reportedly became a couple after appearing on KBS 2TV’s dating reality show “Seeking Old Connections” last year, and their relationship ultimately led to marriage.
When Lee Kyu-han appeared on “Seeking Old Connections,” he spoke of their past connection, saying, “I appeared on a variety show with Solbi before.” Solbi expressed her interest, saying, “You were handsome then, too, but you look much slimmer now.”
Jian Castle asked, “We would be grateful if you would send warm congratulations and support to the two people as they prepare to embark on a new chapter in their lives.”
It added, “Solbi and Lee Kyu-han will show you how they grow together—as cherished partners, and as supporters and pillars of strength who bolster each other on their individual journeys.”
Solbi debuted in 2006 as a member of the mixed-gender group Typhoon and was loved for emotional dance songs such as “So...,” “Only You...” and “I’ll Wait....” In 2007, she made her solo debut with “Why Did We Love?” She has also been active as a painter since holding her first solo exhibition in 2012. She published an essay collection in 2014, and last year made her debut as a drama writer, scripting the short-form series “My Ex-Boyfriend Is a Top Star.”
Lee Kyu-han made his debut in 1996 in KBS 2TV’s youth drama “Start” and has appeared in “My Lovely Sam Soon” (2005), “Que Sera, Sera” (2007), “Rich Family’s Son” (2018), “The Judge from Hell” (2024), “A Trap Called Desire” (2026) and other works.
