[Financial News] Cushman & Wakefield Korea, a global commercial real estate services firm, will advise on the sale of gas stations owned by KORAMCO Life Infrastructure REIT, which is managed by KORAMCO REITs Management and Trust.
Cushman & Wakefield Korea said on the 14th that it will advise on the sale of 19 major gas stations owned by KORAMCO Life Infrastructure REIT across the country, launching the sale process in earnest. The stations included in the second gas station sale of 2026 are spread across major cities nationwide, including the Seoul metropolitan area (Incheon and Gyeonggi), Daejeon, North Chungcheong, Daegu, North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang.
The assets up for sale have diverse locations and operating formats: some are near industrial complexes and major arterial roads, offering excellent accessibility, while others are adjacent to residential and commercial areas. In particular, gas station sites have recently attracted attention as investment opportunities with potential for site development, changes of use or mixed-use development, thanks to their prime locations, zoning and surrounding development conditions. Accordingly, strong interest is expected from a range of potential buyers, including end users seeking to operate gas stations as well as developers, corporations and individual investors.
Unlike transactions involving conventional commercial real estate, gas station deals require specialized due diligence, including soil and environmental assessments, permits and approvals, leases and the handover of vacant possession, as well as the removal of existing facilities. Drawing on its expertise and extensive market network—built through successfully advising major domestic refiners and institutional investors on numerous gas station sales and real estate investments involving companies such as GS Caltex and SK Energy—Cushman & Wakefield Korea plans to identify the best buyers.
A Cushman & Wakefield representative said, “The gas stations up for sale are located in major areas across the country, from the Seoul metropolitan area to the Chungcheong and Yeongnam regions, and each asset offers different potential uses. We will cast a wide net for buyers, from those seeking to operate gas stations to investors who are assessing the potential for site development, and provide expert advice.”
The bidding notice for the gas station sale was issued on the 14th, and bids are due by November 19.
