[Financial News] G2G Bio is seeking to expand partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies, touting its ultra-high-concentration antibody subcutaneous (SC) platform. The company plans to broaden its business by applying to antibody formulation technology the development and commercial-scale manufacturing experience it has gained through its existing long-acting injectable technology.
G2G Bio said on the 14th that it will unveil its ultra-high-concentration antibody SC platform, ‘InnoBioLAMP,’ at the global drug-delivery technology conference ‘PODD 2026,’ to be held on the 29th and 30th. Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for joint research with Celltrion last July, the event will provide an opportunity to present the platform to global pharmaceutical companies.
At ‘BIO JAPAN 2026,’ held in Japan last week, G2G Bio also held partnering meetings with around 10 global pharmaceutical companies and shared the platform concept and research results. It plans to continue discussions on collaboration with multinational pharmaceutical companies at ‘BIO-Europe’ in the future.
InnoBioLAMP was developed based on the development and commercial-scale manufacturing experience gained with the existing long-acting injectable platform, ‘InnoLAMP.’ Its core technology is the ultra-high-concentration formulation required to switch antibody drugs from intravenous (IV) to subcutaneous injection. SC formulations have the advantage of shorter administration times than intravenous injections, but antibody drugs are large molecules and are administered in high doses, making it important to formulate them at high concentrations within a limited injection volume.
G2G Bio said it had confirmed the potential to achieve antibody concentrations of 750 mg/mL or higher with InnoBioLAMP while controlling issues that can arise in highly concentrated formulations, including protein aggregation, self-association and increased viscosity.
The company also touts as a competitive advantage its ability to apply to antibody formulation technology the mass-production experience gained with the existing InnoLAMP platform. It said the platform’s applications could be expanded to include monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and Fc fusion proteins.
Lee Hee-yong, CEO of G2G Bio, said, “We will actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with global pharmaceutical companies and turn our technological competitiveness into tangible global business results.”
