According to industry sources on the 14th, Alloso, Fursys Group’s high-end living brand, is taking part in the 2026 DDP Design Fair, running through the 18th at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, where it is operating an experiential brand booth called “Alloso Sofa Bank.”
The booth is designed around the idea of sofas as assets that accrue value the longer they are used. It lets consumers experience firsthand how to choose a sofa that suits their tastes, use it, and care for it by replacing its upholstery or using professional cleaning services.
The booth comprises four spaces: Fabric, Recover, Care and Space. In the Fabric area, visitors can compare a range of colors and textures, including fabrics from the Danish high-end fabric brand Kvadrat. The booth also showcases five Lia fabrics designed by designer Raf Simons.
The Recover area introduces a service that lets customers give their sofas a new lease on life by replacing the upholstery when their tastes or lifestyles change. In the Care area, visitors can learn about services that help them use their sofas for longer, including professional cleaning and quality guarantees of up to 10 years.
The booth also features an interactive program in which visitors can choose a sofa and draw up a care plan themselves. Visitors can enter a product they like in the “Sofa Passbook” and choose the upholstery they want to use now and the upholstery they would like to switch to in the future. Those who complete the program receive a coin purse made from Kvadrat fabric.
Other furniture companies also offer care services after customers purchase a sofa.
Essa offers Essa Care, a professional cleaning service that takes into account the characteristics of different materials, including performance fabrics and leather. The service first assesses the sofa’s level of soiling, then cleans it using a method suited to its material.
Jakomo also provides cleaning and care services for leather and fabric sofas through Direct Care, a service operated directly by its headquarters. Before purchase, it also offers a free sample trial service that lets customers check the colors and textures of leather and fabric.
“A good sofa is an asset that accrues value the longer you keep and care for it,” an Alloso representative said. “We hope you will experience firsthand the value Alloso promises, from the moment you choose a sofa through the years you spend with it.”
