Fans donate 11.54 million won to mark Im Jae-beom’s birthday; food aid for around 50 children

[Financial News] Donations and goods worth 11.54 million won raised by fans to mark singer Im Jae-beom’s birthday will be used to provide food supplies to children at risk of missing meals.
According to ChildFund Korea on the 14th, Im Jae-beom’s fan club, “D.C. Im Jae-beom Gallery,” presented ChildFund Korea with 10.14 million won in donations and nutritional supplements worth 1.4 million won to celebrate his birthday.
Fans voluntarily raised the funds from August 20 to September 19. ChildFund Korea plans to use the donations and goods to provide grocery kits to around 50 children at risk of missing meals in Seoul.
The donation stemmed from a call to share that Im Jae-beom made to fans at his 40th-anniversary concert on May 17. Im debuted in 1986 with the first album by the band Sinawe, and this year marks the 40th anniversary of his debut.
At the concert, he proposed that fans join in sharing, saying, “I hope that, just as you have shown me love, we can continue to do good by joining forces to help people around us who are marginalized or facing hardship.”
A ChildFund Korea representative said, “We are grateful for this decision to donate, which brings together fans’ affection for the singer to support children’s future.”
