[Financial News] A sustainability management report by the Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC) received the highest rating (pictured) at an international communications competition.
KOBC announced on the 14th that its “2025 Sustainability Management Report,” published this past May, won Platinum, the highest rating, in the financial services category of the 2025 LACP Vision Awards, organized by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).
Since 2001, the LACP Vision Awards have been an international competition that evaluates organizations’ communications materials, including annual reports and sustainability management reports published each year by companies, public institutions and nonprofits around the world.
About 1,000 companies and institutions from around 20 countries worldwide took part in this year’s competition.
KOBC’s 2025 Sustainability Management Report scored 99 out of 100 across eight evaluation criteria: message clarity, report organization, messaging to stakeholders, creativity, cover design, first impression, financial information and information accessibility. After receiving Gold in 2024, it moved up one level this year to Platinum, the highest rating.
KOBC placed 49th in the “Worldwide Top 100,” which selects the top 100 organizations from entries around the world. It ranked sixth among Korean entries and second among Korean public institutions.
The report received high marks for systematically presenting KOBC’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) management strategy, key activities and achievements, and for being structured to help stakeholders easily understand the corporation’s sustainability management performance.
“This award is the result of our continued efforts to communicate the corporation’s ESG activities and achievements transparently and in an easy-to-understand way,” said Ahn Byeong-gil, president of the Korea Ocean Business Corporation. “As a public institution supporting sustainable growth in the marine industry, we will continue to disclose our ESG management performance fully and maintain communication with stakeholders.”
