JETEMA announced on the 14th that it had shipped its first batch of “Jetema The Toxin 100U,” a botulinum toxin product, to Thailand. After receiving product approval from Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) last July, the company plans to begin sales by the end of this year through its local import and distribution partner.
Under a supply agreement with its local partner, JETEMA plans to sell about 650,000 vials over the next five years. It aims to supply products in line with local demand and expand its market share.
The company also plans to pursue academic activities for local medical professionals. It intends to hold academic seminars, hands-on symposiums and workshops for key opinion leaders to deepen their understanding of the product and increase its clinical use.
JETEMA’s strategy is to use Thailand as a hub for expanding in the Southeast Asian market and to raise local brand awareness.
Nam Jeong-seon, JETEMA’s CEO, said, “Through successful commercialization in Thailand, we will accelerate growth in overseas sales and solidify our position in the global botulinum toxin market.”
