[Financial News] Footage showing a man swinging a long golf club while practicing his swing at a children’s park in Seoul has been released. The park has children’s play equipment, including a slide, prompting concerns about possible safety accidents.
A video filmed at a children’s park near Dangsan Middle School in Seoul was shown on JTBC’s “Scandal Supervisor,” which aired on the 13th. The footage was provided to the program by A, who witnessed the scene.
The man in the video stood at one side of the park, took up a golfing stance and swung the club several times. There was no sign of him practicing with anyone else nearby; he repeatedly swung on his own, changing his stance.
Trees and green space surrounded the area where the man was practicing. Children’s play equipment, including a slide, was located especially close by.
No children were seen using the playground in the footage recorded at the time. However, concerns were raised that swinging a long golf club in a park that children can use at any time could lead to a safety accident.
A said they contacted the program because they were worried that directly confronting the man could lead to a conflict. “I’m reporting this because I’m afraid a fight might break out, and I can’t step in directly,” A said. “I wish he would practice golf at a driving range.”
Criticism also continued online, with people saying it was dangerous to practice golf swings in a children’s park. Users left comments such as, “It’s dangerous to practice golf in a park used by children,” “Golf practice should be done at a dedicated driving range,” and “Even if there were no children nearby, swinging a golf club in a public place is inappropriate.”
