[Financial News] MiraeN Co. said it will hold the 5th Youth Creative Video Festival Short-Form Contest to strengthen young people’s digital creative skills, accepting entries from the 14th through December 7. The contest is notable for allowing the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with video production.
This year’s contest theme is “What if _______?” Participants are to turn inventive questions and imaginings inspired by everyday life and school into short-form videos no longer than 60 seconds. They may freely use generative AI tools to assist with video, subtitles, audio, images and other aspects of production.
The contest is open to elementary, middle and high school students in Korea and abroad, as well as out-of-school youth of the same age. Entries may be submitted by individuals or by clubs, groups or classes. Young people who wish to participate should upload their completed videos publicly on YouTube or Instagram, include the required hashtags (#YouthCreativeVideoFestival #MiraeN #TeachersCreatorsAssociation #GOMMix), and submit an application form and the original file through the official website.
Awards will be presented to a total of 16 teams, with total prize money of 8.8 million won. Winning teams will receive certificates and, as additional prizes, lifetime passes for GOM & Company’s content-creation package, the contest’s sponsor. Every team that completes an entry will receive one one-month package pass per team. The 16 selected teams will be announced on December 21, and the awards ceremony will be held at COEX in Seoul on January 16, 2027.
The event is organized by the Teachers Creator Association and sponsored by media software company GOM & Company.
“It is meaningful to create a platform where students can imagine and express themselves freely, together with the Teachers Creator Association, which has nurtured young people’s potential in classrooms, and GOM & Company, which supports creative environments,” said Shin Gwang-su, CEO of MiraeN. “We will continue to support learning and new challenges so that students’ small curiosities in everyday life can lead to creative work, and they can freely express their thoughts and communicate with the world.”
