Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) announced on the 14th that they will operate the “2026 Off-Season Marine Leisure Tourism Experience Program” from the 17th through the 20th of next month.
The initiative was designed to extend Busan’s marine leisure tourism, which is concentrated in summer, into the autumn and winter off-season and to give people opportunities to enjoy the sea around Busan and marine leisure activities year-round. A variety of experiences highlighting the distinct character of each area will be offered using marine tourism resources at major Busan beaches—including Haeundae, Gwangalli, Songjeong and Dadaepo—as well as around Yeongdo.
The city will offer some of Busan’s signature marine leisure experiences, including sunset SUP and yacht tours in Gwangalli, yacht tours in Yeongdo, and surfing in Songjeong and Dadaepo. Each experience has been designed to let visitors enjoy Busan’s waters without hassle, according to their preferences and schedules.
Specialized marine leisure experiences for international visitors will also be offered in Gwangalli and Songjeong. In Gwangalli, add-on offerings in “K-beauty,” “yachts” and “wine” will bring beauty, wine and yachting together in an unusual experience. In Songjeong, “Sunset Surfing x Seafood K-BBQ” will let visitors enjoy surfing and food together.
At Dadaepo, a signature beach in western Busan, the program “Run, Dadaepo: RUN and SURF” will be offered. Participants run along Dadaepo Beach and then try surfing. By combining running with marine leisure, the program offers a different way to experience the beach scenery and tourism resources of western Busan.
Each experience can be booked through the Surfholic Holic Jam mobile app. Sales begin on the 13th, and the experiences will be available from the 17th.
A BTO official said, “Busan’s waters are an appealing tourism resource that can be enjoyed in autumn as well as summer,” adding, “From a range of marine leisure experiences such as surfing, yachting and SUP to distinctive tourism offerings combining K-beauty, food and running, we hope visitors will discover a new side of Busan’s waters this autumn.”
