[Financial News] CJ Freshway held a training program to strengthen the practical capabilities of small and midsize food partners and boost the quality competitiveness of its supply chain.
According to industry sources on the 14th, CJ Freshway held the “Win-Win Cooperation Academy,” a training program to strengthen food safety capabilities at small and midsize food partners, on the 13th at its Sangam headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The Win-Win Cooperation Academy is a program for mutually beneficial training that CJ Freshway has run for small and midsize partners since 2015. Organized by Safety Management, its food safety-specialist division, it provides training to strengthen partners’ practical capabilities, including quality management standards and on-site operational know-how.
This year’s training was held for quality managers at around 20 meat-processing partners. The curriculum included △results and key cases from meat-processing quality inspections △best practices in partner companies’ quality management △the Quality Golden Bell, among other topics.
That day, a CJ Freshway quality management expert shared key quality management standards to be checked at every stage, from receiving raw materials through manufacturing and processing to shipping finished products. Two meat-processing partners also presented examples of quality improvements implemented at their manufacturing sites, sharing their on-site experience and operational know-how.
A CJ Freshway representative said, “To manage product quality and safety reliably, it is important to closely share information about manufacturing sites and quality management standards,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen quality competitiveness across the entire supply chain together with our partners through practical training that reflects the characteristics of each product category and the sharing of best practices.”
