[Financial News] LG HelloVision has stepped up to support young people preparing to live independently, offering career counseling and mentoring from working professionals. The aim is to ease the sense of isolation they may experience before and after leaving care, and to help them plan for the future and build relationships with their peers.
LG HelloVision said on the 14th that it had held the “2026 Hello, Together: Independence Camp” over two days beginning on the 9th, in partnership with Save the Children.
The camp, organized by Save the Children’s Jeonbuk Child Rights Center, brought together 15 adolescents and young adults from the Jeonbuk region who are preparing for independent living, along with mentors and others. The term refers to young people who leave care and become independent after receiving support from child-care facilities, foster families or similar settings.
At the Saeum Center in Jeonju, participants took part in “Hello, Next,” a capacity-building program run in partnership with Ieum Psychological Research Institute, a professional psychological counseling organization. Working professionals, including nurses and writers, served as mentors, sharing their career experience and offering advice on career paths.
Activities to help participants build relationships with their peers were also organized. They took part in team-building recreational activities and the “Hello, Healing” experiential mission at Everland in Yongin.
LG HelloVision is also providing support for telecom costs to ease the initial living expenses of young people preparing for independent living, continuing the program for a sixth year. Since launching the “Hello Together” initiative in 2021, it has provided Hello Mobile telecom service worth 65,000 won per month free of charge for two years.
“I hope the young people preparing to live independently discovered their potential and gained confidence in their future through this camp,” said Noh Seong-rae, head of External Relations and ESG at LG HelloVision. “We will continue to do all we can to help young people take their first steps into society on a stable footing.”
