[Financial News] A new investment platform lets users compare domestic exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and publicly offered funds in one place and even try simulated investing. Users can find products based on their interests or investment goals without knowing product names, and compare the products’ past investment performance.
Korea Investment Management Co., Ltd. said on the 14th that it had launched a new investment platform, Investment Plus (TO+).
Investment Plus is designed to let users explore domestic-listed ETFs and publicly offered funds on a single platform. Even without knowing the name of a specific product, users can find relevant products based on topics of interest or investment goals, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, the U.S. market, or dividends.
The platform consists of four sections: investment product discovery, product comparison, investment experience, and investment management. The product comparison section lets users see the features and differences of ETFs and funds at a glance. It also offers an “Easy Comparison” feature that groups products by topic for users who have difficulty choosing products to compare.
The investment experience section offers simulated investing and an “Investment Time Machine” feature. The Investment Time Machine lets users see the returns to date assuming they had bought a product at a specific point in the past, and compare those returns with the results of other investment choices. With simulated investing, users can buy and sell products using virtual funds and track how their assets change over time.
The investment management section lets users view their watchlist, investment packages, and investment solutions in one place. Korea Investment Management Co., Ltd. plans to use the platform to support not only investment product management but also the process of exploring, comparing, and trying out products.
The company is also holding a membership sign-up event to mark the platform’s launch. It plans to offer coffee coupons to new customers who agree to receive marketing and promotional messages after signing up.
Ryu Ji-hae, head of the Digital Strategy Division at Korea Investment Management Co., Ltd., said, “As the fund market, including ETFs, has grown, the range of products available has expanded significantly. But for beginner investors, it remains difficult to know which products to look at and what criteria to use when comparing them. We designed the platform to let users explore a range of investment products in one place and compare and try them out for themselves, so they can develop their own criteria for making investment decisions.”
