TS said on the 13th that it had delivered 5 million won raised through the Carbon Steps Donation Challenge to Good Neighbors’ North Gyeongsang Regional Headquarters.
The challenge was held for employees throughout September. By making walking part of their daily routine, they reduced carbon emissions and shared the results of their collective participation with the local community.
The value of the employees’ accumulated steps was converted into donations. The funds will be used to support children from vulnerable groups who need help.
TS plans to develop the Carbon Steps Donation Challenge beyond a one-off walking event into an ESG program linking eco-friendly practices that employees can easily take part in with social contributions.
TS Chairman Jung Yong-sik said, “The small steps taken by each employee came together to become a meaningful step that went beyond reducing carbon emissions and conveyed heartfelt support for children’s dreams. We will continue to identify carbon-neutral practices that employees can take part in together in the Authority’s work and daily life, and strive to ensure that the results contribute to social value.”
