[Financial News] The KIWOOM Samsung Electronics & SK hynix Bond Mix 50 ETF, managed by Kiwoom Asset Management, will pay a distribution of 146 won per share in October. Since its first distribution in May, it will have paid at least 100 won per share for six consecutive months.
According to Kiwoom Asset Management on the 13th, the distribution rate is 1.28%, based on the closing net asset value (NAV) on the 12th. The distribution record date is the 15th, with payment scheduled for the 19th. Investors who purchased the ETF by the 13th are eligible for payment. Cumulative distributions over the past six months, including October’s, amount to 907 won per share.
Listed last April, the ETF invests 25% each in Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, with the remaining 50% allocated to domestic short-term bonds. It seeks to capture gains from rising share prices of large-cap semiconductor stocks while reducing price volatility through its bond holdings.
The distributions are funded primarily by dividends from Samsung Electronics and SK hynix and interest income from bonds. The ETF also applies a “performance-linked special distribution” method, under which it distributes gains from selling some of its holdings when its NAV exceeds a certain level.
The 15th of each month is set as the distribution record date to provide cash flow mid-month. As a bond-hybrid product with a 50% allocation to stocks, it allows investors to allocate their entire investment to the ETF through defined contribution (DC) retirement pension and individual retirement pension (IRP) accounts.
Lee Kyung-jun, head of the ETF Management Division at Kiwoom Asset Management, said, “This product is characterized by realizing gains from rising share prices of Samsung Electronics and SK hynix under certain conditions and using them as a source of distributions. We will continue to closely monitor market conditions and our investment performance to secure funds for distributions and strive to maintain distribution results that investors can feel.”
