According to the financial sector on the 13th, enrollment in NongHyup Bank’s Voice Phishing Compensation Insurance had exceeded 180,000 as of last September.
The Voice Phishing Compensation Insurance is a public-interest program designed to support the financial recovery of older adults who have fallen victim to financial scams. Anyone aged 60 or older anywhere in the country can enroll for free, without paying a premium. Enrollees can receive compensation of up to 10 million won if they fall victim to voice phishing.
NongHyup Bank is expanding insurance outreach and enrollment support in cooperation with local communities, using its branches nationwide as hubs.
