[Financial News] A fund investing in undervalued companies that actively return value to shareholders through dividends, share buybacks and cancellations, among other measures, surpassed 100 billion won in assets under management just one week after its launch. This is attributed to expectations of increased shareholder returns coinciding with investor demand for high-dividend stocks.
Daishin Asset Management said on the 13th that the assets under management of the Daishin Shareholder Return High Dividend Fund, launched on the 6th, stood at 106.8 billion won as of the 12th.
The fund selects and invests in quality stocks that are relatively undervalued among companies active in shareholder returns, including dividends and share buybacks and cancellations. Its key investment indicators include the shareholder return ratio, which measures the share of a company’s profits returned to shareholders, and the shareholder return yield, which shows the scale of shareholder returns relative to the current share price.
Lee Jae-woo, executive vice president and head of marketing at Daishin Asset Management, said, “Sales exceeded 100 billion won in a short period amid a positive response from many investors.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen our competitive edge in shareholder-return investing based on differentiated investment strategies and asset management capabilities.”
Daishin Asset Management will conduct a soft closing (Soft Closing), temporarily suspending fund sales from the 19th through the 30th. The measure is intended to ensure stable management in the early stages after launch and effective implementation of the investment strategy. Sales are scheduled to resume on November 2.
