IPARK Hyundai Development announced on the 13th that it had held an opening ceremony for the 'Symphony Classroom Forest' on the 12th at Samgwang Elementary School in Galwol-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Key attendees included Jeong Gwang-jae, head of the Urban Renewal Business Office at IPARK Hyundai Development; Yoo Hye-seon, head of Good Neighbors’ Seoul Northern Business Division; Lee Hye-gyeong, principal of Seoul Samgwang Elementary School; and Ok Dong-hun, head of the Student Customized Cooperation Division at the Jungbu District Office of Education.
'Symphony Classroom Forest' is IPARK Hyundai Development’s specialized social contribution program to create eco-friendly green spaces inside educational facilities where children and adolescents spend their everyday lives. It was designed to help students naturally appreciate the value of the environment and of space by tending plants themselves and caring for gardens in their classrooms.
Since 2024, the company has worked with Good Neighbors under an agreement to support children and adolescents. In particular, this year it is expanding the program’s reach by successively creating Symphony Classroom Forests at three locations: Sinmok Elementary School in Yangcheon-gu in August, Dorim Elementary School in Yeongdeungpo-gu in September, and now Samgwang Elementary School.
An IPARK Hyundai Development representative said, “The Symphony Classroom Forest is a meaningful project that helps children in urban areas find emotional stability in a lush green refuge and grow into people who take an active role in protecting the environment,” adding, “We will continue to pursue sincere ESG activities that enable us to work alongside local communities in diverse areas, including education, the environment and housing.”
Meanwhile, in addition to creating Symphony Classroom Forests, IPARK Hyundai Development is faithfully fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through a range of social contribution activities, including housing support for vulnerable groups and the development of local talent.
