[Financial News] Daekyo Educamp has successfully completed a customized education program to help young adults with borderline intellectual functioning, who receive little social attention and support, achieve financial independence and enter society.
Daekyo Educamp said on the 13th that it had completed the fourth cohort of the “2026 Independence Education Program for Young Adults with Borderline Intellectual Functioning,” run jointly with the Busan Social Service Agency, and finalized the related results. The program was designed to help young adults with borderline intellectual functioning adapt to daily life, develop practical job-seeking skills and establish themselves in society as members of the community.
The fourth cohort of the independence education program was run in two tracks, “Daily Life” and “Potential,” tailored to participants’ individual levels of readiness and goals for entering society. The Daily Life track focused on basic social skills, including building relationships with others, regulating emotions, everyday conversation and following rules. The Potential track, for those preparing to enter the workforce, offered practical job-seeking programs they could use immediately, including résumé writing, one-on-one mock interviews tailored to each participant and workplace etiquette training.
Daekyo Educamp plans to continue providing hands-on training and employment-placement programs after the course ends, helping participants adapt to society in a stable way. The company aims to build a virtuous-cycle ecosystem for independence that extends beyond one-off education to include ongoing follow-up support.
A Daekyo Educamp representative said, “It is the mission of an education company to help young adults with borderline intellectual functioning overcome social isolation and grow into confident economic actors. We will continue to expand customized support programs in cooperation with local governments and specialized institutions to address gaps in access to education.”
