【Financial News, Daegu | Jang-wook Kim】 “Enjoy a special Korean gala dinner and autumn afternoon tea at the Lounge & Bar of Daegu Marriott Hotel!”
Daegu Marriott Hotel will present its Korean gala dinner, “Chuhyang—Embracing Autumn’s Abundance,” at the Lounge & Bar for one day only, on the 31st.
Chuhyang, offered at the Lounge & Bar on the 31st with a limited number of seats available on a first-come, first-served basis, takes its name from chu, meaning “autumn,” and hyang, meaning “feast”; it signifies an autumn celebration.
The Lounge & Bar has prepared a Korean gala dinner that best captures the deep, rich flavors of the harvest season. Inspired by the elegance of traditional royal court cuisine, the premium Korean course goes beyond elevating Korean food, showcasing a new level of refinement in the form of a gala dinner. Each course features outstanding dishes suited to an autumn feast, paired with traditional Korean alcoholic beverages, cocktails that reinterpret them, and Spanish cava to offer a sophisticated, fresh dining experience.
A Daegu Marriott Hotel representative emphasized, “We prepared this gala dinner with Korean dishes that best complement seasonal autumn ingredients, and added a variety of premium alcoholic beverage pairings,” adding, “We hope you enjoy a sumptuous dining experience on an autumn evening deepening alongside someone dear to you.”
The Korean gala dinner begins at 6 p.m. on the 31st and costs 149,000 won per person, including tax. A 10% discount is available for advance reservations through Naver.
The Lounge & Bar will also offer its fall-season afternoon tea, “Relaxing Autumn Afternoon Tea,” through November 30.
Designed around the idea of a “sweet respite,” this afternoon tea is intended to let guests step away from their busy routines for a while and enjoy time entirely for themselves on a cool autumn afternoon.
The hotel’s signature character, “Merry Bear,” wearing a Daegu Marriott Hotel bathrobe and shown relaxing in a warm bathtub, sets the scene; open the wooden dessert cabinet to reveal 12 desserts made with seasonal autumn ingredients.
Guests can start with a refreshing welcome shot of marron blend juice, then enjoy three savory items and 12 sweet desserts.
Guests can choose two drinks from six options. Recommended pairings include “Royalty,” a Ceylon black tea with yuzu, elderflower and honey (Marriott Bonvoy Korea Limited Edition), and caffeine-free “Cream Caramel,” rooibos with caramel notes.
Every Thursday, guests can enjoy afternoon tea with a dry-ice effect that billows like steam from a hot bath, creating an even cozier atmosphere. A special set featuring a “Merry Bear Bathrobe Key Ring” is also available (includes one key ring; 120,000 won).
A hotel representative said, “Like Merry Bear relaxing in a warm bath, we wanted to offer a restorative break amid busy daily life with desserts infused with the scents of autumn and a cup of tea.”
Relaxing Autumn Afternoon Tea costs 83,000 won for two, with a 10% weekday discount available for advance reservations through Naver.
