[Financial News] Epson Korea will unveil industrial label printers that distinguish hazardous areas and equipment and convey work instructions at construction sites. Attaching labels to hard hats and pipes is expected to help strengthen on-site safety by making it easier for workers to check safety information.
Epson said it will participate in the 2026 Korea Construction & Safety Expo, which will run for three days from the 14th to the 16th at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and unveil three industrial label printers that can be selected to suit the work environment and intended use.
The expo showcases technologies, products and solutions for safety management and accident prevention at construction sites.
Epson will exhibit three industrial label printers that can be selected to suit the work environment and intended use. The LW-Z5000WK supports high-capacity label printing at widths of up to 50 mm. The OK1000P prints labels up to 36 mm wide and can connect to PCs and mobile devices. The LW-Z700 prints labels up to 24 mm wide and offers industrial-grade features.
At construction sites, labels help identify hazardous areas and equipment and make it easier for workers to check safety information. In environments exposed to high and low temperatures, water, chemicals, friction and sunlight, durability is important to ensure that information does not fade after labels are applied. Epson plans to showcase label features at its exhibition booth through durability tests and hands-on programs.
Epson will also demonstrate labels applied to hard hats, pipes, safety railings and power distribution boxes. The display is designed to help site personnel explore applications suited to their working conditions and needs.
Jun Morofushi, CEO of Epson Korea, said, "To manage safety at construction sites, it is important to create an environment where workers can intuitively access the information they need and respond quickly." He added, "We will continue to provide solutions that contribute to safety management and improved work efficiency in industrial settings."
