[Financial News] Meritz Securities has expanded its real-time overseas bond trading service, enabling customers to trade not only U.S. Treasuries but also government bonds from major European countries and bonds issued by international financial institutions.
According to the financial investment industry on the 13th, Meritz Securities has revamped its existing “U.S. Bond LIVE” service as “Overseas Bond LIVE,” expanding the range of tradable bonds and the hours of availability. In addition to existing U.S. Treasuries, the service now includes dollar-denominated bonds issued by the governments of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, as well as by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). Customers can also trade euro-denominated government bonds from Germany and France.
Overseas Bond LIVE is a service that lets users view bond bid and ask quotes in real time and place orders through Meritz Securities’ mobile trading system (MTS). Its key feature is that users can compare trading prices directly before buying or selling, as they would with stocks.
Trading hours have also been extended by one hour, from 9 a.m.–10 p.m. to 11 p.m. The service operates on domestic business days and is available through the “U.S. Treasury LIVE,” “Dollar Bond LIVE” and “Euro Government Bond LIVE” menus in the MTS. It is available to users who hold Super365, Meritz Securities’ online-only investment account.
Meritz Securities first launched “U.S. Bond LIVE” in January last year, allowing users to view real-time quotes and place orders for U.S. Treasuries. With this revamp, the company has also expanded the number of U.S. Treasury securities available for trading.
