LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. supplies power distribution solutions worth 185.3 billion won; cumulative orders top $500 million

[Financial News] LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. is aggressively expanding its power infrastructure business in North America, the largest market for AI data centers. In particular, cumulative orders have topped $500 million just 18 months after it teamed up with global power company Bloom Energy.
LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. disclosed on the 13th that it had signed a contract with Bloom Energy to supply switchgear and distribution transformers worth a total of $138,458,284 (approximately 185.3 billion won). LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. will supply 38-kV-class high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers from April through July 2027. With this contract, total orders from Bloom Energy have exceeded $500 million in about 18 months since April last year.
The project involves supplying switchgear and distribution transformers needed for large-scale data centers as a package. It is seen as demonstrating LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd.’s competitiveness in power distribution solutions amid the growing importance of on-site power generation facilities to meet the enormous electricity demand of AI data centers.
LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. is stepping up its push into the North American AI data center power infrastructure market, drawing on its world-class power distribution technology, competitive quality, and ability to meet tight delivery schedules for large-scale projects.
The company is actively responding to local customer demand by building an end-to-end local value chain encompassing sales, design, production, and service, centered on “LS ELECTRIC Utah” in Utah and LS Electric Bastrop Campus in Texas.
LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. plans to further strengthen its strategic partnership with Bloom Energy and step up efforts to secure additional business opportunities in North America, including in fuel-cell-based power infrastructure for data centers.
