“Did gangsters bring you two together?” Account believed to be run by Cho Sae-ho’s wife responds

[Financial News] An account on social media believed to be run by broadcaster Cho Sae-ho’s wife has directly responded to questions about alleged gang involvement in the couple’s marriage. Asked who introduced them, the account operator said, “A friend of mine introduced us.”

An account called “Delete the account if Cho Sae-ho finds out” came to attention on social media on the 11th. Its name meant that it would be deleted if Cho discovered it, and several photos and videos of Cho’s daily life were posted there.

The account’s bio also said that Cho did not know it was being run. Its profile read, “This account is run without Cho Sae-ho’s consent. Still alive and well so far.”

The photos and videos posted showed Cho organizing the shoe cabinet at home and enjoying a birthday party. A clip of him playing the guitar was also shared.

The account also drew interest for sharing personal stories about Cho in the comments. Based on this, some users suggested that the account operator might be Cho’s wife. However, the operator’s identity has not been confirmed.

Comments speculating about the operator’s identity continued. One user wrote, “Looks like his wife made the account.”

There were also comments asking about suspicions that gangsters had been involved in bringing the couple together. When one user asked, “I hear a gangster introduced you two. Is that true?”, the account operator replied, “A friend of mine introduced us.”

There was also some joking about the account’s name. When another user asked, “Does the username mean ‘Jo(bal)pok’?”, the operator replied, “It’s ruined because of that. I put a lot of thought into it.”

Cho had previously left the shows he was appearing on after allegations emerged that he was close to a person identified as a gangster. The shows he left were tvN’s You Quiz on the Block and KBS 2TV’s 2 Days & 1 Night.

Meanwhile, Cho Sae-ho married Jung Su-ji, a former supermodel who is nine years younger than him, in October 2024.
