【Financial News Ulsan = Choi Su-sang】 Ulsan Dong-gu Office has launched a departmental group lunch relay to support the Bangeojin Live Fish Center and surrounding commercial area, which have been struggling with a drop in visitors since a fire.
At 11 a.m. on the 12th, Ulsan Dong-gu chief Cheon Gi-ok and 40 employees from the Marine Environment Bureau’s four divisions at Dong-gu Office held a campaign to support local businesses near the Bangeojin Live Fish Center, then had lunch together at nearby restaurants.
About 600 people work across Dong-gu Office’s five bureaus, 24 divisions and departments, public health center, council secretariat and other units. The office expects the group lunch relay to provide considerable support for revitalizing local businesses.
The group lunch relay will be held bureau by bureau, with the Economic Policy Bureau scheduled to go next.
Dong-gu chief Cheon Gi-ok said, “We organized this event so public officials could take the lead in helping struggling local businesses,” adding, “I hope local residents will also do their part to revitalize local businesses.”
