[Financial News] Shinsegae Property Inc. has created a retail space centered on food and beverage (F&B) at the new office property, Starlit Seongsu N, in North Seongsu. The company says it has created an open space that can be used not only by office tenants but also by nearby workers and residents, as well as visitors to Seongsu-dong.
Industry sources said on the 12th that Shinsegae Property Inc. had unveiled the Starlit Food Lounge on the lower floors of Starlit Seongsu N in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Acquired by CAPSTONE Asset Management, Starlit Seongsu N is an office property with six basement levels and 11 floors above ground, and a gross floor area of about 9,000 pyeong. Gmarket uses floors 3 through 11 above ground as its headquarters.
Shinsegae Property Inc. participated in Starlit Seongsu N as a strategic investor and applied its Starlit brand and concept. Retail space spanning the first basement level to the first floor brings together work, dining and relaxation.
The first floor will house Starbucks and the bakery café What a Bread, which is scheduled to open this November. The first basement level features an open-plan food hall directly accessible from outside, about 300 shared seats, a lounge area and a library space.
The food hall will house a total of 11 businesses. Standouts include Seokcheong by Hanmiok, a new offering from Korean restaurant Hanmiok; Chinese food brand Jeongjeong; Bangchon Tteokbokki, a local favorite in Daegu’s Bangchon Market; and Korean-style Western food brand Taepyeongyang Donkkaseu.
Other tenants include Raccoon Pizza, American-style Chinese food brand Jeffrey Wok, Vietnamese restaurant Kamon, Gyedo, which serves Japanese-style dishes, beverage brand Laimi, and convenience store emart24.
A Shinsegae Property Inc. representative said, “With large-scale office developments continuing in North Seongsu, following the area south of Seongsu Station where commercial facilities are concentrated, demand is growing for mixed-use spaces that combine work and leisure. Starlit Food Lounge combines office conveniences with everyday needs for dining and relaxation, drawing on planning and design expertise specialized in retail.”
