[Financial News]  A family has drawn criticism after images emerged of them setting up a tent and even fishing on a shared observation deck at a park on Yeongjongdo, Incheon. Critics say they used a space open to other visitors as if it were their own private campsite.
According to posts on social media (SNS) and other platforms on the 12th, a post and photos by A, who said they had recently visited Yeongjongdo Seaside Park in Incheon, were shared.
Photos shared by A showed a family fishing with a tent set up on a shared observation deck. A expressed their frustration, asking, “Is this your front yard?”
It was also pointed out that other visitors seeking to use the shared space could be inconvenienced. A criticized the family, saying, “Why should people who came to see the sea have to tiptoe around a family that has pitched a tent?” and “They displayed this thoughtless attitude in front of children: that if you stake out a spot first, even a public place is yours.”
A also asked others what they thought of the family’s behavior. “Why build memories for your own family on other people’s discomfort?” A asked. “What do you all make of a family pitching a tent and even fishing on a shared observation deck?”
After the photos were posted, criticism also emerged online that using a shared observation deck for private purposes was inappropriate. Some users commented, “They should report this to the authorities in charge right away and make the family pack up and leave,” and “Seeing them act like that with children there, they must be people who don’t know what shame is.”
