[Financial News] Dongseo University’s Anchor Project Group announced on the 12th that it had successfully concluded the 10th 051 Film Festival, held over four days from the 8th to the 11th around BIFF Square on Gwangbok-ro in Nampo-dong, Busan, in conjunction with Community BIFF at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).
Inspired by Busan’s area code, '051,' the 051 Film Festival, which has used 51-second videos to raise awareness of welfare issues in citizens’ everyday lives, marked its 10th anniversary this year.
Held under the theme 'Connection—Your Story Connects Busan’s Tomorrow,' the festival served as a platform for communication between citizens and for cultural dissemination, linking citizens with one another and the present with the future.
Dongseo University’s Anchor Project Group showcased a range of achievements in industry-academia collaboration, combining future technologies with cultural content. In particular, it worked closely with the university’s 'AX-based Cultural Contents Open-UIC' to broaden the foundation of the regional video industry and strengthen field-oriented industry-academia partnerships.
During the festival, award-winning works from the 'B-Contents Festival' held in June, along with outstanding AX-based video content produced by students at local universities, were presented to the public through an awards ceremony and special screening programs.
A dedicated promotional booth operated alongside the festival introduced citizens to examples of the latest content production combining generative AI and AX technology.
'This event is an excellent example of regional-industry-academia collaboration, bringing together the university’s advanced media technologies and the local community’s warm commitment to welfare,' said Hwang Gi-hyeon, head of Dongseo University’s Anchor Project Group. 'We will continue to lead win-win models that make a tangible contribution to the local community and provide unwavering support to help students grow into future-ready talent equipped with both technological expertise and a grounding in the humanities.'
