[Financial News] KD Navien, which is stepping up efforts to tap overseas markets such as Latin America and Russia, has established hubs in North America and begun targeting local markets.
According to industry sources on the 12th, KD Navien has begun operating an “Innovation Center” in New Jersey and a “Training Academy” in Irvine, California. The move is intended to strengthen its ability to develop products suited to North American living environments and enhance the expertise of local installation and distribution networks.
The Innovation Center is a hub for developing products suited to North American living environments and installation conditions, and for strengthening local engineering and quality-response capabilities. It verifies product performance through testing and field trials, analyzes quality issues that arise in the field, and uses the findings to make improvements.
The Training Academy is an educational hub designed to enhance the expertise of contractors, installers, distributors, sales agencies and others. It provides systematic training in dedicated classrooms and practice areas, covering everything from theory and product demonstrations to installation practice and troubleshooting.
A KD Navien official said, “Operating hubs in North America is a signal of the start of our push into the North American market. Through the hubs established in New Jersey and Irvine, we will incorporate local feedback into our products and technology and turn it into customer value.” The official added, “We will also pursue building a factory in the United States in the future to create a new turning point for growth.”
Meanwhile, KD Navien’s expansion in North America is also tied to its market diversification strategy. The company operates through local subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and Mexico, among other countries. It has established a market foothold in Russia centered on boilers, while in Mexico it is using its local subsidiary to target the Latin American water heater market.
