The National Health Insurance Service said on the 12th that it is providing information on hospitals offering the Integrated Nursing and Care Service through NAVER Map and KakaoMap by linking public data.
The Integrated Nursing and Care Service is a system in which nurses, nursing assistants and care support staff look after patients 24 hours a day without a guardian or caregiver. It was introduced to ease the caregiving burden on patients and their families and provide inpatient care in a safe medical environment.
Users can search for terms such as “Integrated Nursing and Care Service” and “nursing and caregiving” on NAVER Map or KakaoMap to see a list of nearby hospitals offering the service, based on their current location. NAVER Map also provides details such as the number of beds in operation, helping patients and their guardians when choosing a hospital.
According to the National Health Insurance Service, being admitted to a ward offering the Integrated Nursing and Care Service can reduce costs by 83.9% compared with hiring a private caregiver in a general ward. As of this year, the service is available in 837 hospitals nationwide, with 91,157 beds.
