[Financial News] Lotte will take part in a mobility exhibition in Japan to showcase the group’s technological capabilities and seek opportunities for global collaboration.
According to industry sources on the 12th, Lotte will participate in Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2026, being held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, through the 16th. The participating affiliates are Lotte Chemical Corporation, LOTTE Energy Materials, Lotte Infracell, LOTTE INNOVATE, Lotte Global Logistics and LOTTE rental Co., Ltd.
Lotte, which first took part in Japan Mobility Show 2025 last year, introduced its future mobility businesses based on eco-friendly energy. This year, it is going beyond showcasing its technological capabilities, focusing on fleshing out opportunities for collaboration with global companies by drawing on each affiliate’s business model.
For the exhibition, Lotte’s booth will be organized around the theme “L.MoVE.” The name is short for “Lotte Mobility Value Enabler” and conveys the idea of a partner that creates new value in the mobility sector and helps its partners grow their businesses. The booth will showcase Lotte’s mobility value chain, encompassing next-generation materials and infrastructure, as well as logistics and services from the participating affiliates.
In the materials sector, Lotte Chemical Corporation will present flame-retardant, lightweight and recycled materials, as well as paint-free design materials. Lotte Infracell and LOTTE Energy Materials will exhibit cathode foil, coated foil and copper foil used in electric vehicle batteries.
LOTTE INNOVATE will focus its exhibition on technologies that connect data from vehicles, roads and cities. It plans to introduce autonomous mobility services, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered smart tolling and next-generation intelligent transport systems (C-ITS).
The companies will also showcase changes in their logistics and rental car businesses. Lotte Global Logistics will outline how it plans to build eco-friendly, unmanned logistics systems using hydrogen-powered freight trucks, autonomous freight trucks and automated loading and unloading technologies. LOTTE rental Co., Ltd. will present a digital short-term car rental model featuring contactless check-in and self-service key boxes, and announce plans to enter Okinawa, Japan.
A Lotte representative said, “This event is an opportunity to showcase Lotte’s competitiveness in the mobility business to global companies and seek practical collaboration opportunities,” adding, “We will expand global partnerships based on each affiliate’s technological and business capabilities and continue to identify new growth opportunities in the future mobility sector.”
