[Financial News] Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.'s Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator and portable screen The Movingstyle have been named winners of Forbes' 2026 Smart Home Awards in the U.S. They earned high marks for enhancing everyday convenience, including food management and content viewing.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. said on the 12th that the two products won awards in the Smart Home Awards, launched for the first time this year by Forbes Vetted, Forbes' product-testing publication.
Forbes Vetted selected 50 innovative products across seven categories, including kitchen and appliances, cleaning, home office, and home entertainment. Experts in each category spent seven months using and evaluating hundreds of products in real-life settings. Bespoke AI Family Hub was the first product featured on the winners list released last month, and the only refrigerator to make the list.
Forbes Vetted praised the Beverage Center, which features convenient storage, a water dispenser, and an auto-fill water pitcher. It also highlighted the 32-inch screen on the front, which lets users check their schedules and the weather, search the internet, view photos, play music, and more.
An evaluator who used the product praised Family Hub, saying it “turns the kitchen into the control center of the home.”
The article also highlighted the food management feature, which uses an internal camera. Shoppers can use the Samsung mobile app to check what ingredients are in the refrigerator while they shop, helping them buy the items they need.
Family Hub has also performed well in previous reviews. In May this year, it was named the overall best product in Forbes Vetted's 'Best Refrigerators' review. It also took the top overall spot in the 'Best Smart Refrigerators' review last October.
The Movingstyle portable screen was named a winner in the Home Office category. It was recognized for its versatility as both a monitor for work and a screen for leisure.
Tech analyst Avi Greengart, who took part in the judging, cited its adjustable height and rotating screen as strengths. He said it is a display that makes it easy to watch short-form and vertical videos while using it for work.
The review also noted that users can stream content directly on the monitor or watch live channels and on-demand content through Samsung TV Plus. Forbes Vetted also said its price of $900 or less gives consumers more choices.
