[Financial News] Burger King will open a product R&D innovation space this month, aiming to strengthen its menu competitiveness and expand opportunities to connect with consumers.
According to industry sources on the 12th, Burger King Korea is creating a new space, ‘FlameLab,’ to strengthen its product R&D capabilities and will officially unveil it this month.
Located in Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, FlameLab is an R&D innovation space designed to develop new menu items and improve the quality of existing products. Burger King plans to turn new ideas into actual products there, reflecting changing consumer preferences and dining trends.
Burger King will use FlameLab as a hub for innovating and sharing the brand’s signature flame-grilled flavor. It plans to take its menu-improvement efforts to the next level by actively incorporating consumer analysis into the product development process.
The company will also introduce a range of programs that let consumers experience the brand’s value firsthand. These will include the ‘Lab Tour,’ which explores the product development space and helps participants understand the brand, as well as interactive programs offering a hands-on experience of the entire process, from selecting ingredients to completing a product.
A Burger King representative said, “Our efforts to develop new products and improve quality to give customers better taste and experiences have taken shape in FlameLab. Through FlameLab, we will more actively incorporate customers’ voices into the product development process, strengthen our differentiated menu competitiveness, and serve as a stepping stone to future growth.”
