[Financial News] A story has emerged of a café owner who gave croissants to elementary school students who couldn’t afford to buy bread and was then given a deep bow by the children.
According to online communities and social media platform Threads on the 11th, A, who runs a café in Nam-gu, Busan, recently released CCTV footage from the shop.
A explained, “I don’t really like posting CCTV footage, but they were so cute that I’m posting it,” adding, “The little ones were short on money and gave up on the bread, so I gave them croissants on the house.”
A added, “They happily carried them upstairs, polished them all off, came back down, gave a deep bow, and left.”
The video showed four children who appeared to be elementary school students lining up in front of the counter and bowing deeply to the staff all at once.
Even after finishing their deep bow, the children repeatedly bowed at the waist to a 90-degree angle before leaving the café. The staff smiled and waved goodbye to them.
A had reportedly given the children croissants on the house after they gave up on buying bread because they didn’t have enough money.
The children reportedly took the croissants upstairs, ate every last bite, then came back down and bowed deeply.
Viewers who watched the video commented, “I could watch this kind of CCTV footage anytime,” “It’s touching to see something so rare these days,” and “Their parents raised them well.”
