[Financial News] A man who entered a Siberian tiger enclosure at a zoo in the UK died after being bitten by the tiger.
According to reports on the 10th, local time, by The Telegraph and other local media, a young white man jumped into a tiger enclosure that day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster, England.
Video posted that day on social media showed the man sitting awkwardly as the tiger circled around him, moving in front of and behind him, and attacked his back and the nape of his neck.
After falling, the man sat on the ground and tried to fend off the tiger by kicking it. He also made a hand gesture that seemed to say, “Don’t!”
The footage did not show him fleeing in terror, but another video captured him lying on the ground as the tiger pressed down on him with its front paws.
Emergency responders were dispatched after receiving a report, but the man was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and reason for entering the tiger enclosure have not yet been disclosed.
The zoo’s tiger enclosure is designed so visitors can look down on it from a 300-meter-long elevated walkway. Local media speculated that the man climbed up and over a tall wire fence to get into the enclosure.
