“Unplugged the freezer to charge a phone”... All the ice cream melted

[Financial News] A store owner has claimed that all the ice cream kept in a self-service ice cream shop melted after a woman unplugged a freezer to charge her phone and then left. The owner said they had filed a complaint against the woman for interference with business.
On the 11th, a post about damage at a self-service ice cream shop was published on an online community. It said, “I’m determined to file a complaint against the woman who interfered with business by making all the products at the self-service ice cream shop melt.”
A photo shared with the post showed a notice attached to the self-service ice cream shop.
The notice read, “Reported for interference with business: unplugged the freezer, charged a phone, and left.” It described the damage caused when the freezer lost power as “Ice cream melted; sales restricted.”
Another photo, believed to have been released by the store owner, shows a woman wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt and black pants standing near an outlet beside the freezer.
According to the owner, the woman unplugged the power cord connected to the freezer and charged her phone. However, even after charging it, she reportedly left the shop without plugging the freezer back in.
The owner claims that afterward all the ice cream in the freezer melted and could no longer be sold. The owner said they filed a complaint against the woman for interference with business because of the damage.
The exact amount of the damage was not disclosed. Online, people criticized the act of using power from someone else’s business facilities without permission and then failing to restore things to their original state.
Some internet users argued that the owner should be compensated for the damage. They left comments such as, “Make sure you get compensation for the damage,” “Her face is clearly visible. Make sure you find her and give her a proper dose of financial therapy,” “There really are so many strange people in the world,” “Just looking at the photo makes me angry,” “What a novel idea,” and “Let’s reveal her face.”
