[Financial News] LG Electronics said on the 11th that it would significantly expand the product lineup of its premium home appliance brand LG SIGNATURE to mark 10 years in the U.S. market, accelerating its push into North America’s premium and built-in appliance markets.
LG Electronics marked the occasion with a successful gala celebrating LG SIGNATURE’s 10th anniversary, “What’s Your Signature?”, at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York on the 8th (local time), signaling a new leap forward.
The event was attended by prominent figures from the arts and culture world, media representatives and influencers, including Kwack Do-yeong, LG Electronics’ North America regional head and vice president, who helped grace the occasion.
Having announced plans to aggressively pursue the North American premium home appliance and built-in markets with LG SIGNATURE, LG Electronics has significantly expanded its range of kitchen appliances—including oven ranges, wall ovens, range hoods and cooktops—and built a lineup of 10 offerings this year, the 10th anniversary of the brand’s launch.
The company said it has further broadened customer choice by dividing the lineup into three main design styles: “Iconic,” which pairs metal with gold accents to maximize its premium look; “Tailored,” which offers a range of colors to suit customers’ individual tastes; and “Seamless,” which sits flush with cabinetry without any protruding parts.
The company also plans to change its sales strategy to better capture this premium demand.
Moving beyond its past practice of displaying products mainly in flagship stores to build a premium image, LG Electronics plans, starting with these new products, to significantly expand displays to regular stores operated by major retail partners and actively broaden customer touchpoints.
LG Electronics has also further enhanced product performance and AI-based convenience. Oven ranges equipped with Gourmet AI automatically recognize ingredients using an internal camera, recommend optimal recipes and provide alerts based on the level of doneness.
Kwack Do-yeong, LG Electronics’ North America regional head and vice president, said, “Over the past 10 years, LG SIGNATURE has set a new standard for premium home appliances with understated designs focused on the essence of home appliances and innovative technology.” He stressed, “Going forward, we will offer North American customers a different level of experience with a premium lineup that combines designs that elevate the character of a space with AI-based convenience.”
