【Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Soo-sang】 The Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has completed its move to its new building in Seodong, Jung District, and begun full-scale operations.
According to the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 11th, the new building was constructed with two basement floors and four above-ground floors. It has substantially expanded its state-of-the-art convention infrastructure, including a multipurpose convention hall, seminar rooms, and a corporate exhibition space that uses the lobby area.
Alongside its function as a business hub hosting a variety of business events and industrial exchanges throughout the year, it is expected to serve as a focal point for industrial innovation in Ulsan.
About 300 people attended the new building’s completion ceremony on the 8th, including heads of major institutions such as Ulsan Mayor Kim Sang-wook, Ulsan Metropolitan Council Chair Lee Young-hae, Ulsan Superintendent of Education Cho Yong-sik, Jung District Mayor Kim Young-gil, and National Assembly member Park Seong-min, as well as local businesspeople and representatives of member companies.
The crape myrtle used in the commemorative tree planting at the completion ceremony had been planted in the front yard of the old building in Sinjeong-dong, Nam District, in 1983, and was moved intact. Though the Chamber is opening a new era in Seodong, Jung District, the tree carries the symbolic meaning of a commitment not to forget its 43-year history or its fundamental role, and to continue fulfilling that role faithfully.
