[Breaking] Chey Tae-won visits Gwangju, estimates semiconductor demand will continue to grow quite rapidly

[Financial News] SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won visited Gwangju’s military airport, the planned site for a semiconductor production plant, on the 9th and said, “I estimate that (semiconductor) demand will continue to grow quite rapidly.”
Chairman Chey said, “Since we decided we needed to accelerate the pace of expansion, we moved the timeline for the project being built in Yongin forward by 12 years. I thought even that wasn’t enough, so I came here. Another development is needed, and if necessary, it will have to be built in parallel. I came to check how quickly it should be built.”
