According to local media on the 8th, Na Gi-hong, head of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd.'s Strategic Cooperation Office, visited the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee headquarters that day and met with its newly appointed chairman, Nguyen The Manh. At the meeting, Na said, “Thai Nguyen is the most important region for Samsung's business in Vietnam,” adding, “The three Samsung manufacturing subsidiaries located here play a key role in supporting Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd.'s overall business, both in terms of sales and investment.”
Regarding Samsung's business performance in Vietnam, Na said, “As of 2025, cumulative investment has reached $24 billion (about 32 trillion won),” and “we have consistently recorded annual sales of more than $60 billion (about 80.415 trillion won).” He added that, on the strength of this solid foundation, Samsung has established itself as Vietnam's largest foreign-invested company and continues to contribute to the development of the local economy and society.
Na particularly noted, “Samsung sees Vietnam as more than just a production base; we regard it as a strategic partner in advanced technology development and research and development (R&D),” adding, “Through the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) program, which covers fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data and coding, we are helping develop outstanding technology talent in Thai Nguyen.” He also explained that Samsung is actively running programs to support local component suppliers, particularly in the electrical and electronics sectors, in cooperation with the Thai Nguyen Department of Industry and Trade.
Na asked the Thai Nguyen leadership, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Industrial Park Management Board to continue showing interest in and providing support for Samsung's local operations.
