The Ministry of the Interior and Safety said the access outage affecting the Information Disclosure Portal on the 8th was caused by equipment malfunction in the service ingress segment and was confirmed to be unrelated to recent hacking attacks targeting the financial sector. According to the ministry, equipment malfunction occurred in the portal’s service ingress segment at around 11:01 a.m. that day, disrupting access to the website and mobile services.
The National Information Resources Service detected the outage at 11:26 a.m. and began identifying the cause and working to restore service. It restored the service at around 11:45 a.m., and it is now operating normally.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety is investigating the precise cause of the malfunction by analyzing the equipment status and related logs. Some media outlets had reported that the access outage occurred at around 11:20 a.m. and was resolved at around 11:46 a.m., but the ministry said the actual outage began at 11:01 a.m.
The National Information Resources Service said, “We will thoroughly analyze the cause of the outage and promptly implement the necessary corrective measures to prevent the same outage from recurring,” adding, “We will also continue to review and strengthen our systems for detecting and responding to outages in major information systems.”
